Integrity Exports’ Car Auction System Upgraded

Posted by Stephen On Tuesday, August 25th, 2015

We are constantly improving and upgrading our online Japan car auction system, but one thing we are always wary of is complicating things. We know your goal is to find the best cars to bid on, and to get them at the best prices.

Our latest upgrade is a great example of this kind of simple but powerful tweak. By changing the background colors in the auction car search screen, you can now tell in an instant whether you have already looked at a particular, car, whether you have put it on your watch list, or whether you have already bid on it.

Check out the video below to see exactly what I mean.

Japan Car Auction Schedule for New Year (Oshogatsu) 2014

Posted by Stephen On Monday, December 22nd, 2014

While many around the world are gearing up for Christmas, the big holiday in Japan centers on New Year, the following week. These celebrations will interrupt the auctions, but just for a brief while.

Here is the schedule:

December 27th — Last day of auctions in 2014

January 5th — First day of auctions in 2015

Integrity Exports will also be closed during that week, as will many of our suppliers (including shipping companies, transportation companies, customs agents). Although we will keep an eye on email communications during that time, please do not expect our usual lightning-fast responsiveness. Also please bear in mind that, even if we do get your email, with our suppliers closed, we may well not be able to help you until after this holiday period ends. (We will not be responding to phone or Skype communications during this time.)

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this New Year period, and … akemashite omedetou gozaimasu!

Japan Car Auction Schedule for Obon, August 2014

Posted by Stephen On Thursday, July 24th, 2014

The car auctions in Japan follow the practice of most Japanese business of closing in the middle of August for the summer Obon holiday. Since there are many different auction groups, the times they close are not all exactly the same, so we have checked with all of them to find out which will be open and which closed, and on which days.

As you can see, most auctions will be closed during the period from August 11th, 2014 until August 18th, 2014. There are some auctions that will be held then, so it’s worth keeping an eye out for cars you are after in these auctions simply because there will be less competition during this holiday period.

Here are the auctions that will be open during this Obon week:

Many of our other suppliers, including shipping companies, will also be closed during this week. Please bear this in mind if you contact us during this time, as we may have to wait for these suppliers to re-open after Obon before we get a response. Thank you for your understanding during this time.

Online Japan Car Auction System Secured With GeoTrust SSL

Posted by Stephen On Wednesday, February 12th, 2014

At Integrity Exports, our goal is to make buying from Japan’s car auctions stress-free and secure, which is why we are also ahead of our competition in making sure all pages on our online auction system are secured with SSL encryption.

Yes, that’s the same method banks use to keep customer transactions safe over the Internet. We may not be a bank, so perhaps this is overkill. But you never know when there may be someone trying to grab your password, particularly if you are on an unsecured network, like you would find in cafes or libraries.

We take your security and privacy seriously. Our GeoTrust SSL encryption covers all your transactions on our online system, whether logging on, viewing cars, checking out your account balance, or downloading invoice PDFs.

You will see that all the online auction system pages have https URLs like this:

Secure HTTPS encryption

And at the bottom of every page in the online system, you will see the GeoTrust seal, confirming the authenticity of our website security:

End of 2013, Start of 2014 Auction Schedule

Posted by Stephen On Wednesday, December 18th, 2013

We’re fast approaching the end of the year and we’re really grateful to all of you who have been buying vehicles through us this year. As you may know, Japan doesn’t have the same Christmas holidays that are common in many other countries around the world.

Instead, the Japanese celebrate the new year. What you can see in the image below is the schedule for the auctions during this time. To make it simpler, have color coded days to show whether they are going to have most auctions running, a few running or none running.

Remember also that at shipping companies and other players in the auction-to-export process will have their offices closed for periods during this time. So please bear in mind that we may not be able to give you our usual super-quick responses during this time.

Thank you for your purchases in 2013, and we wish you an even more successful 2014. (Click the image to see it full size).
