New Mitsubishi Attrage is the Akward Looking Sedan Version of the Mirage

After previewing the conceptual G4 sedan at the Bangkok International Motor Show in March and the Shanghai Auto Show in April this year, Mitsubishi has now announced the production version of its new small sedan named the Attrage.

Billed as a "next-generation global sedan", the Attrage is the sedan sibling of the new Mirage supermini for buyers on a budget that is offered in several markets and regions around the world, including Europe, Asia and starting from this fall, in the United States as well.

The styling differences with the G4 concept are limited to the conventional head-, tail- and fog-lamp fixtures, front grille, smaller alloy wheels and the absence of an aero kit. The end result is as awkward to look at as the Nissan Versa sedan, which is 295mm (11.6-inches) longer than the Mitsubishi model (4,095mm or 159.5-inches)

Like the Mirage, the new Attrage is offered with a 1.2-liter MIVEC gasoline engine paired to either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a CVT, which offers a combined fuel economy of 22km/L, equal to 51.7mpg US, 4.5L/100km and 62.1mpg UK.

Mitsubishi said the Attrage will first launch in Thailand, where it will be produced, in July with more markets to follow within the next year.
