Car Auction Find: Lexus IS 250 F-Sport up for Auction in Nagoya

After talking so much about the future 2015 Lexus IS yesterday, we decided that today we’d look in the other direction. I logged into our Integrity Exports Japanese car auction system, clicked ‘Lexus’ as the automaker then ‘IS’ as the model, and voila! 33 different Lexus IS sedans popped up for me. I quickly sorted by Grade to ensure that we’d look at the absolute best models, and that’s how I found this luxurious beauty:

2013 Lexus IS 250 front

The 2013 model year was a great one for the Lexus IS. This was the year of a major rework which included many additions to the F Sport models. The pinched spindle grille with distinct F Sport mesh and twin-spoke graphite alloy wheels greatly enhance the exterior aesthetic, while the interior gets new carbon fiber accents and bolstered performance seats. And of course, the F Sport trim gets superior performance and handling in the form of Variable Gear Ratio steering and Adaptive Variable Suspension.

As you can see, this 2013 Lexus IS 250 F Sport features a pristine black paint job. However, what really sets this model apart from the rest is its quality. “Good condition” would be an understatement with this particular Japanese car; you won’t find a single blemish on the exterior, and the car gets an overall 5 rating with an A grade interior. On top of that, this one’s got more features and appointments than any other IS F Sport currently up for auction. Let’s take a look at the interior:

And here’s a quick overview of some of the most noteworthy features new to this 2013MY that you may not find in other auctions:

  • Automatic air conditioning
  • All-new navigation & audio display
  • Heated seating
  • Leather trim and seating

Being a Lexus IS 250, this model runs on a 2.5L V6 engine that outputs 204hp, paired with a fully automatic six-speed transmission configured for rear-wheel drive. This particular model only has 4,000 km on the odometer, so you can expect the mechanics to be in near-factory condition. The auction start price was at 3,480,000 Japanese yen, which is about what you’d expect given the age and quality of the vehicle.

All in all, I’m in love with this Japanese car auction find. It’s a perfect example of the level of quality that you can expect to find – and find easily – when you use our refined auction database tool. If you’d like more information, just keep reading for our full auction sheet translation:
