Japanese Car Auction Find – 2007 Mitsubishi Pajero SUV
Today’s Japanese car auction find fits right in with the topic of our last blog post. You’ll recall that yesterday we looked at the new addition to the Mitsubishi Shogun lineup – the Mitsubishi Shogun SWB Barbarian, a monstrous SUV with plenty of premium appeal.
What you might not know is that the Mitsubishi Shogun is also known as the Mitsubishi Pajero in non-European markets. Fun fact: it was known as the Mitsubishi Montero in the Americas, since “Pajero” has a vulgar meaning in Spanish, but the SUV was discontinued in those markets in 2006.
What you see above is a 2007 Mitsubishi Pajero, which would be the first model year in the SUV’s current generation. So, this is a good place to pick up if you’re in the market for a full-size SUV… This is the year that Mitsubishi let out all the stops and unleashed the beast.
This particular Pajero is of the Long Exceed X trim, whose long wheel base gives you plenty of cabin space and plenty of off-road potential. In fact, what we have here is one of the toughest and most off-road capable SUVs on the market, complete with skid plates, terrain-friendly alloy tires, heavyweight components and almost 9-inches of ground clearance. With a fully automatic transmission and a powerful 3.8L V6 backing you up, all you have to worry about is where you want to go and how you want to get there, which is also made easy thanks to the onboard GPS navigation.
Other tech goodies in this particular model include air-conditioning, power windows, power steering, antilock brakes, remote keyless entry and of course a CD player. And as you can see below, the interior may not be as luxurious as that of the new SWB Barbarian, but it still has a noticeable premium feel with leather seating and trim, combined with a tasteful black and beige color scheme. With an ‘A’ grade interior, this Mitsubishi Pajero feels good as new.
Speaking of ratings, we chose this specific Mitsubishi Pajero for its near-immaculate overall 4.5 grade rating. You’ll find only two minor blemishes across the entire pearl white paintjob, described in more detail in the auction sheet translation at the bottom of this post.
Even if this color, grade or model year of this Mitsubishi Pajero isn’t your style, there are loads of other Mitsubishi Pajero models available in our Integrity Exports Japanese car auction system, just a few clicks away. You can get two weeks of unlimited access for free, so there’s no reason not to try it out if you’re interested.
Either way, you’ll find this 2007 Mitsubishi Pajero’s auction sheet below:
