Nissan Video Shows Radiation Testing in Action
As I reported on April 19th, the Japanese car makers have agreed on a unified radiation testing regime for new cars. (I have also written before about how I believe the risk is exceptionally small anyway).
In this video, Nissan employees are shown measuring radiation levels at three points – on the tires, on the hood (bonnet) and on the steering wheel. I think the reason that Nissan is particularly pushing this is that they are boasting as having been the first of the automakers in Japan to start this testing back in March.
The risk is very small, but it is reassuring to consumers that these companies are taking their fears seriously and are testing vehicles for radiation anyway.
