Subaru Announces New Stella Kei Car
Subaru today launched their new Stella kei car. Although Subaru has decided to stop production of its own kei cars by the end of February 2012, the Stella name will continue, but the car itself will be manufactured by Toyota’s kei specialist arm, Daihatsu, based on their Move model. This will then be the 5th model Daihatsu has rebadged as a Subaru.
This new model will be able to achieve 27 km per liter, which is the best fuel economy for a regular gasoline engined car and, as such, the Stella is eligible for a discount on the tax due at time of purchase.
